The Smart Energy Council leadership met today with His Excellency Mr Fred Arruda, Ambassador of Brazil to Australia, at the Brazilian Embassy in Canberra, to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in smart energy and industrial decarbonisation.
The delegation included John Grimes, CEO of the Smart Energy Council, and Prof. Scott Hamilton, Senior Advisor, who joined Ambassador Arruda and Carlos Pacha, Minister Counsellor to the Ambassador, for a high-level dialogue.
The discussions focused on the importance of strengthening ties between Australia and Brazil, two countries with significant roles to play in shaping the global smart energy transition. Both sides highlighted the potential for cooperation that supports shared goals of decarbonisation, innovation, and sustainable growth.
