GoodWe’s Galaxy Panels: The No-Penetration Solution for Concrete Roof Integrity and Leak-Free Solar Technology in Gold Coast.

Gold Coast, 25 July 2024We are excited to announce the successful completion of a landmark project on the Gold Coast, featuring the installation of Galaxy solar panels on a six-floor residential apartment building. This initiative not only underscores the advanced capabilities of Galaxy technology but also demonstrates its ability to deliver innovative energy solutions while preserving the structural integrity of the building.

This project, with a robust 30 kW capacity, employed a pioneering gluing installation technique that avoided drilling into the concrete roof. Additionally, ventilation tubes were used to create a space between the roof surface and the panels. This approach ensures that the roof membrane remains intact, effectively eliminating any risk of leakage and allowing for a rapid and efficient installation process. By avoiding traditional mounting methods, the installation was completed with minimal disruption and in half the time.

After commissioning, the installed solar system will provide energy to the building’s swimming pool and communal areas, leading to a significant reduction in energy expenses for body corporate. The system’s impressive efficiency is expected to result in a payback period of just two years, illustrating the cost-effectiveness and financial advantages of adopting Galaxy technology.

Galaxy panels provide a significant cost effectiveness advantage over traditional Tier 1 panels. The total cost of our turnkey solution is lower than that of traditional panels, and the installation process is significantly faster, making it an ideal choice for efficient energy upgrades. The ultra-lightweight design of Galaxy panels, coupled with their frameless construction, reduces dust accumulation, increasing their long-term efficiency compared with traditional panels, where dust accumulates along the edges. Their robust build also ensures increased resistance to hail and severe weather conditions, thanks to 1.6mm tempered glass, which enhances their long-term durability and reliability.

Our turnkey solution not only provides a state-of-the-art energy performance but also aligns with modern urban requirements by integrating seamlessly into existing structures without compromising aesthetic or functional aspects. This project exemplifies how Galaxy panels can meet the growing demand for efficient, sustainable energy solutions in contemporary building environments.
