Decon Celebrates Two Years of Growth, Innovation and Australian Manufacturing in Scoresby

On 7 May 2026, Decon Corporation celebrated two years at its Scoresby, Victoria large manufacturing facility. The occasion has been formally named “Happy Headquarters Day”, as an annual company celebration held during the first week of May.

Decon’s headquarters is located within the esteemed Caribbean Business Park estate in Scoresby, positioning the company amongst some of Australia’s leading industrial and technology organisations.

Originally planned as an outdoor event in Decon’s communal outdoor dining area, Melbourne’s weather delivered wind, hail and cold conditions, prompting the celebration to move into the company’s warehouse space. Despite the weather, the event was a strong success, with approximately 140 employees from warehouse, office and field all coming together to enjoy catering provided by a local food truck, Berty & Co., over a
two-hour celebration.

The anniversary marks an important milestone in Decon’s continued growth and evolution as a 100% Australian-owned and operated business. Since relocating to the Scoresby headquarters in 2024, the company has significantly expanded its manufacturing capability to support the growing clean energy and telecommunications
infrastructure sectors.

This growth has included the establishment of a dedicated Research & Development division, focused on developing innovative technologies including advanced solar solutions, salt battery technologies and proprietary programmable logic controller (PLC) systems that integrate complex energy infrastructure solutions.

Over the past two years, Decon has also achieved Australian Made certification across a growing range of locally manufactured products, including switchboards, transportable rooms, equipment racks and its innovative Smart Power Cell (SPC) solution. The SPC is a modular integrated energy system designed to intelligently manage and distribute power across telecommunications and critical infrastructure environments, supporting renewable energy integration, battery storage and remote power applications.

Decon’s continued expansion has also resulted in the recent acquisition of a third site within the Scoresby area to further support manufacturing operations and future growth.

The event was attended by Executive General Manager Brett Matheson, alongside company founders Robert Guarino and David O’Brien, who joined employees in celebrating the milestone and recognising the people who have contributed to Decon’s growth journey.

As a national business with operations across Australia, Decon continues to invest heavily in Australian manufacturing, innovation and capability development, while supporting the evolving infrastructure and clean energy needs of its clients.
