SAJ has announced that its EK70 HS5 and EK90 HS5 home energy systems have been listed by the Clean Energy Council (CEC). According to the company, they are the first products listed under SA TS 5398, Australia’s new technical specification for electrical energy storage equipment safety.
The systems will be exhibited at All Energy Australia 2026, taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 28–29 October.
The EK70 HS5 combines a hybrid inverter, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and whole-home backup in one unit. It uses modular 6, 7 and 9 kWh battery blocks to accommodate different household requirements.
According to SAJ, the EK90 HS5 features cells rated for 12,000 cycles, nine-layer safety protection, edge AI and a 15-year warranty.
The company will also demonstrate elekeeper 5.0, its energy management app, which includes AI-assisted design, commissioning and remote diagnosis functions.
Alan Li, Sales Director of SAJ Electric Australia, said installer feedback had highlighted demand for integrated systems that support faster installation and confidence in the products they install.
DEKRA and CCS are scheduled to present SAJ with the CEC certificates for the two systems during the exhibition. SAJ and DEKRA will also sign a strategic cooperation agreement covering safety, quality and compliance.
Ends.
