Sydney, 17 June 2026 – The NSW Government has named Brighte as an official launch finance provider for its new Home Energy Saver loan program, giving eligible NSW households access to loans of up to $15,000 at 0% interest to upgrade to solar, batteries, heat pumps and other home energy improvements.
From today, eligible NSW homeowners can go to brighte.com.au, confirm their eligibility and request a quote from an accredited installer. Every installer in the Brighte network is NETCC accredited and governed by Brighte’s vendor assurance program.
Brighte will assess, approve and manage loans under the program, and accredit and onboard the installers delivering the work. Brighte has issued more than $2.5 billion in home energy loans across its decade of operation, with a network of 2,600+ accredited vendors nationwide.
The NSW program adds to Brighte’s track record of delivering government-backed energy finance, including the ACT Sustainable Household Scheme, the Tasmanian Energy Saver Loan Scheme, and programs with the Clean Energy Finance Corporation and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency. Brighte also connects Commonwealth Bank customers to its accredited installer network through CBA’s Home Energy Upgrades program.
What this means for Installers & Smart Energy Businesses
The appointment creates a significant opportunity for solar, battery and electrification businesses across NSW, helping more households access finance for home energy upgrades.
Brighte CEO Katherine McConnell said “The upfront cost conversation is often the biggest hurdle in getting a project across the line. When finance is available at the point of sale with a simple application process and fast approval, more customers can move forward with confidence and installers can convert more quotes into completed jobs.”
Brighte’s model is designed to support installer cash flow, with accredited businesses paid directly on job completion, helping businesses focus on delivering quality installations rather than chasing payments. The onboarding is simple and fully online, to minimise paperwork for installers.
“We’ve delivered similar programs in the ACT and Tasmania and understand the challenges installers face. Our dedicated support teams are there to help every step of the way, from onboarding through to customer applications and project completion.” said Ms McConnell.
