Smart Installer Roadshows - November 2025
Join the Smart Energy Council for our November 2025 Smart Installer Roadshows, hitting the road soon.
These fast paced events will deliver essential CPD training on Preliminary Technical Specification TS 5398, Electrical Energy Storage Equipment -Safety Requirements and a must attend CPD session on Solar Panel Recycling and Stewardship with a total of 35 CPD points between them, a showcase of the latest innovations in solar and storage, plus a great free feed and bev with your installer peers.
This free evening event* (dinner & drinks included) is a must for solar installers looking to:
– Earn 35 SAA CPD points and expand your knowledge
– Stay up to date with emerging energy storage safety standards
– Network with peers and explore new industry solutions and innovations
– Prepare for potential policy changes in solar panel stewardship, recycling and reuse
Don’t miss our two essential CPD training sessions
New Electrical Energy Storage System Technical Standard 5398:2025
Our first 15-point CPD training session will provide an overview of the newly released Technical Standard 5398:2025, published on October 3. This standard replaces the Best Practice Guide as the key benchmark for product safety in Electrical Energy Storage Systems installed in Australia. The course dives into new safety requirements for modular or ‘stackable’ batteries, now widely used across the market. Joining this session means staying ahead of compliance changes, building technical credibility, and ensuring every install meets the highest safety standards.
Solar Panel Recycling and Stewardship
As Australia’s installed solar capacity continues to soar, so does the challenge of responsibly managing the large volume of decommissioned panels entering the waste system. This 20 point CPD training course will address an emerging industry priority by promoting responsible end-of-life management of solar PV systems, focusing on stewardship and the potential of second-life panels through reuse and recycling. This is your chance to prepare for the future of solar, understand your role in product stewardship, and demonstrate leadership in sustainable and circular energy practices.
