You can now get recognised for compliance with the SAA Essentials Learning Module by completing the Smart Energy Councils SEC – AS / NZS 4777.1:2024 Parts 1-6. These modules are available for free as part of our Smart Installer Program.

  • The easiest way to access this is to log in to our Smart Portal as a Smart Installer or as a paid member.
  • Once logged in select the CPD Training menu option at the top of the screen.
  • This will give you access to our Smart Installer Institute where you can find the 6 modules in the catalogue.
  • All 6 parts must be completed to receive recognition from SAA for accreditation.
  • These modules also offer a combined total of 90 CPD points.

Access free online training and events and earn CPD points the easy way

If you are logging in to the dedicated learning platform hosting the SAA Essentials Learning Module 2024 and have been having any trouble here are some things for you to know:

  • This training is set up on a separate website.
  • You can access it here https://smartenergytraining.learnupon.com/store
  • As a registered Smart Installer your user profile has been set up.
  • Log in to the platform first.
  • Once logged in return to the webstore to purchase the training module

First login

  • Perform a password reset to log in
  • You can perform a password reset using the ‘Forgot your password?’ link beneath the password field on the login dropdown. (Shown in the image below)
  • Click the link

  • On the next page fill in your email address (Fields shown in the image below)
  • Click send

  • An email will be sent to your email inbox with a reset link.
  • Click the link in the email and it will take you to a page asking you to 
  • If you do not receive the reset email within a few minutes you will need to contact the Smart Energy Council.

Successful Login

Upon successfully logging in to the platform for the first time you will be asked to confirm your:

  • SAA Accreditation Numbe
  • Contact Number
  • Postcode
  • You will also be asked to confirm your country, location.

Locked out due to too many failed login attempts

If you do try unsuccessfully to log in multiple times within a short period of time the system will perform a lockout for security purposes.

  • This lockout will last for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  • You can bypass the lockout by performing a Forgot your password? Reset as explained above.
  • If you do not receive the reset link in your email within a few minutes you will need to contact the Smart Energy Council

Course Completion

Upon completion of the training course you will be prompted to download your completion certificate.

You do not need to do anything further. All results are being sent across to SAA to update your accreditation.

 

Some Key Details:

  • The training covers the minimum compliance requirements relating to the updated AS/NZS 4777.1 2024
  • All Australian State and Territory Governments will adopt this standard as law by the 23rd February 2025.
  • SAA requires the training to be completed no later than 23rd April 2025
