Sam Craft is a passionate leader in energy innovation, dedicated to integrating technology, customer needs, and regulatory frameworks to drive meaningful change. With expertise in developing and executing strategic initiatives, Sam has successfully enhanced efficiency, improved customer experiences, and positioned organisations at the forefront of the energy transition.

As the Customer Innovation Manager at SA Power Networks, Sam drives customer-centric innovation and oversees the Energy Masters program. Her work focuses on identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience and developing solutions that create value for both customers and the business.

Beyond SAPN, Sam is the Vice President and a Director of the Smart Energy Council, shaping policy and advocating for a smarter, more sustainable energy future. A strong advocate for gender equity in the energy sector, Sam actively works to break down barriers and promote inclusive leadership. Her work through the Australian Women in Solar Energy (AWISE) network, which she co-founded, has provided opportunities for mentorship and greater representation of women in the clean energy sector. She also secured funding for mentoring programs and solar installations for emergency women’s housing.

Sam’s leadership extends beyond innovation and technology. She was awarded the Equality Initiative’s Woman of Distinction Award, recognising her professional career and contributions to gender equity on an international level. As one of Australia’s Equality Initiative Ambassadors, Sam demonstrates a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive industry by mentoring women and advocating for equitable opportunities.
