The Smart Energy Council (SEC) will lead a delegation of smart energy companies to China between 29 October & 3 November 2023.

The delegation of 20+ Australian smart energy organisations will have an opportunity to have a firsthand glimpse into the world’s most advanced manufacturing at scale.

The delegation will engage with and visit:

• The biggest lithium-ion battery manufacturer in the world (CATL). CATL make car batteries for Tesla, BMW and Volkswagen (among others), and spends $1.2 billion on R&D every year. We will see their production and hear about upcoming battery technology innovations.
• The SNEC Energy Storage and Renewable Hydrogen event. 100,000 delegates and almost 1,000 exhibitors! Pick the eyes out of the world’s best business contacts!
• The BYD battery factory in Shanghai, and see their latest EV’s, and EV’s from other leading brands like NIO.
• The mass production of EV buses at King Long, and their other e-mobility solutions. As well as the state-of-the-art manufacturing of solar panels at Longi Solar, and inverters and batteries at GoodWe.
