MELBOURNE, Australia, October 25, 2023 — At All Energy Australia 2023 in Melbourne on October 25 and 26, LONGi, a global leader in solar technology, and Solar Training Centre, a prominent Australian institution dedicated to solar education, have inked a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This landmark MOU, spanning 24 months, marks a significant leap forward in bolstering the Australian solar installer market.

LONGI Australia and Solar Training Centre sign significant partnership

Daniel Lin, Managing Director of LONGi Solar Australia said: ‘It is a very special time. We really want to work with the local industry, give a lot of students the best training and upskill together. It is our pleasure to work with you and make this happen. We are very proud and look forward to our short-term and long-term partnership.’

This pioneering partnership between LONGi and Solar Training Centre sets the stage for a profound transformation of Australia’s solar industry. The MOU encompasses various collaborative initiatives designed to enrich training, marketing, and promotional efforts in the Australian solar installer community.

Key components of this collaboration include the provision of advanced technology panels for educational purposes, the joint development of rooftop solar systems, and the documentation of installation processes for future training and marketing content. The partnership also involves LONGi BDMs’ participation in training classes, utilization of Solar Training Centre’s facilities for industry events, exclusive promotion of LONGi products, and LONGi’s endorsement of Solar Training Centre as its preferred training partner. Moreover, Solar Training Centre will develop CPD Training Units and Modules for industry accreditation.

‘… To be able to use such good products, the best products in our training for the benefit of our students who then go to the customer with the best brand and the best training is an absolute honour’ said Steve Kostoff, Solar Training Centre’s CEO.

The signing ceremony and document were honored by the esteemed presence of John Grimes, CEO of the Smart Energy Council. Mr. Grimes, a long-standing supporter of Solar Training Centre, LONGi, and the broader Australian solar PV industry, bore witness to this historic collaboration, underscoring its importance. ‘You get quality solar around Australia when you bring two things together, quality products and quality staff who is highly skilled and trained to install the products… We are delighted today to be supporting this partnership between two great companies in our industry… To see a partnership between these two big established companies, votes very well for our industry’.

The second phase of this partnership, to be executed within the first twelve months, will explore the potential introduction of additional industry partners and expanded collaboration. This may encompass the development of marketing events, content, training courses, and the creation of learning materials at discounted rates.

This strategic alliance between LONGi and Solar Training Centre is poised to drive excellence in solar education, empower solar installers, and promote the adoption of renewable energy solutions throughout Australia.
