Gender Action Plan (GAP) Information Webinar

Our smart energy industry is thriving, but for it to continue we must address one glaring GAP. The gap in gender participation in our workforce is untenable; inclusive employment is our only way forward.

That is why the Smart Energy Council is establishing a Gender Action Plan (GAP) across the smart energy industry in 2023 and 2024. We want you, and your company, to join us.

It is free to take part. We’re hosting a Gender Action Plan Information Webinar to outline the three key programs that underpin our work in addressing the GAP.

IN THIS SESSION YOU’LL LEARN ABOUT

Our design for workplaces to take on a Men as Gender Leaders’ program, to better equip our largely male-dominated industry, with skills to champion safe and inclusive workplaces.
Strategies for designing a community of practice that will guide the development of content, co-design solutions and encourage the creation of a network that will support the GAP’s mission.
A discussion on building a public communications campaign to empower businesses to promote their leadership role in gender diversity and inclusion.

YOU’LL HEAR FROM

Nicolette Boele – Expert Adviser, Electrification of Everything at the Smart Energy Council
John Grimes – CEO, Smart Energy Council
Terri Butler – Non Executive Chair of Cirular Australia and Smart Energy Council Non Executive Director
Eddy May – Managing Director, NRG Solar
Sophie Wright – CEO of Electrify Victoria & Geelong Electric Vehicle Chargers
Nigel Morris – Head of Business Development, Solar Analytics

We encourage you and your smart energy business to join us and participate in our Gender Action Plan, sign up here: https://smartenergy.org.au/gender-action-plan/
