We are beyond excited to welcome Wilf Johnston to the Smart Energy Council team as our new General Manager for Western Australia.
With the opening of our new office in Perth, Wilf, alongside Policy Adviser Connor Woulfe, will be at the forefront of our efforts to support Western Australia’s shift into a renewable energy and critical minerals superpower, including downstream metals and minerals processing, particularly green iron.
Renewable Energy Veteran. Formerly the Australian CEO of Enphase (one of the world’s leading inverter manufacturers) and the Chair of the Smart Energy Council’s Consumer Energy Working Group, Wilf brings a stellar track record and a wealth of knowledge and experience that will play a critical role we embark on a journey to transform Western Australia’s renewable energy landscape!
Wilf’s exposure to all sides of the sector, from equipment vendors, distribution and solar retail, through to electricity retail, large-scale renewable energy development and engineering, procurement and construction mean he is well placed to help drive the energy transition.
Homecoming for a Perth boy! Wilf is not just an industry heavyweight; he’s also a Perth local, returning home. His passion for the community and commitment to the industry make him the ideal leader to build a strong renewables and critical minerals industry in Western Australia.
