JinkoSolar launches largest range of N type in Australia

  • Jinko Solar introduces Tiger Neo in Australia with full range of panels across 54, 60, 72 and 78 cells.
  • Tiger Neo re-affirms the longterm commitment of JinkoSolar to the next generation of N type technology
  • Australian installers lead the world in understanding benefits of N-type panels

March 11, 2022 – SYDNEY :- JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (“JinkoSolar” or the “Company”) (NYSE:JKS), one of the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world confirmed the first Tiger Neo 470 watt panels have arrived in Australia and have been released to launch customers in 60 cell format. Tiger Neo will complement the existing range of Tiger N type panels widely used in Australia since JinkoSolar first started breaking N type records in 2019. The Tiger and Tiger Neo ranges of N type panels, based on 163mm and 182mm cells respectively, are expected to drive JinkoSolar to market leadership in the N type category this year in the sunburnt country.

Fresh from a successful stock market listing in Shanghai, JinkoSolar has committed to 45GW of N-type capacity, which is the strongest investment of any manufacturer globally in the N-type Topcon technology. Tiger Neo and Tiger N type form the core of JinkoSolar’s Expert Series.

Upon introduction of the Tiger Neo range, JinkoSolar recognizes the obvious benefits of N-type solar, being longer product warranties, slower rates of annual degradation, zero LID and undetectable LeTID and is proud to offer the widest range of panels with this technology.  N-type’s longevity combined with Tedlar backsheet and MC4-EV02 connectors together underpin the 20 year product warranty on Tiger Neo rooftop panels (on the 60 cell and 54 cell modules).

Yet there are some less obvious benefits to the local industry in adopting N-type modules.  Firstly, the warm Australian climate can easily take advantage of the lower temperature coefficient, which means Tiger Neo panels will deliver more yield for the same nameplate power, compared to P-type.  Secondly, Tiger Neo opens the door to reduced packaging and reduced transport emissions, as every panel and every pallet contains more watts. Finally, most common system sizes of Tiger Neo can be installed quicker and with less mounting materials.

Australian installers have really embraced N type panels and enjoy retailing panels from a range that recognises them as experts and delivers ever better reliability to their end customers. For those installers that understand N-type, but have been abandoned by their present vendor, JinkoSolar’s N type range represents a lifeline to keep the faith with end users, as you can pickup JinkoSolar N-type today.

JinkoSolar has produced a range of online resources such as videos of the assembly process and a technical introduction film in order to assist installers (and end users) understand the leap forward that Tiger Neo represents.  To complement this, JinkoSolar will be running training events with partners nationally.
